Midland/Odessa Sockers FC, the only team with PDL Playoffs experience in the Southern Division won 2×1 against The Villages SC in the first playoff game. The Villages SC was looking very strong and with more ball possession than Sockers FC but in the first half Sockers FC scored out of a counter attack. At the start of the second half Sockers FC scored again. The Villages SC didn’t loose their head and kept on taking shots on the goal. In the 80th minute The Villages SC scored and the pressure continued but the Buffalo could’t get that ball in the net.
The Socker’s went on to play the Energy U23 and defeated them in a penalty shootout to win the Southern Conference.
