Our first game of the Season vs Weston FC at their home did not give us the result we were hoping for in our first game. I guess the curse of the first game is alive and well in 2021.
For those that have followed our team since 2016 will have notice the “not-so-good” game results in our first games is a thing. Yesterday Weston FC played a very defensive game and they made sure not to allow for a goal from the Buffalo. After several attempts and a long lightening delay we left Weston with a 0x0 draw to start our season.
The Buffalo played well but couldn’t find the net. We credit also Weston FC for keeping us out of the net and showing talent from their young squad. We’ll see them again on June 5th, this time it will be at our home field.
